Nahki Wells, Huddersfield Travel To Portugal
Bermudian footballer Nahki Wells and his Huddersfield FC teammates will set out on Sunday, July 13 for a trip to Portugal in order to take part in a seven-day stay at the Val de Lobo sporting complex, competing in friendly matches against Doncaster on July 15 and SC Portimonense on July 19 during their time away.
According to a report in the United Kingdom’s Examiner, Nahki Wells said of the trip, “Pre-season is a time few players really enjoy, but we all know how important it is.
“We’ll be working hard out in Portugal, but we will have a change of scenery and the chance to really focus.”
“Every day and every training session takes you a step closer to being ready for August [when Town kick-off their Championship campaign at home to Bournemouth].
“It’s the same with the friendlies – the results might not be of major importance, but every minute you get on the pitch matters.
“You have to make the most of each opportunity and ensure you stake a claim to be involved in the first league game and be ready to hit the ground running.”
The club will return to the United Kingdon in time to travel to Guiseley on July 21.
