Bermudian footballer Nahki Wells has gotten his season off to a fast start, notching a goal for Huddersfield Town in their recent 3-1 preseason victory over Cypriots AEL Limassol, a match that was held behind closed doors at PPG Canalside.

According to a report in the Huddersfield Examiner, “Nahki Wells scored in the 3-1 friendly win over Limassol at PPG Canalside.”

Manager Mark Robins said, “Nahki has shown us what he’s about, but it’s been tough for him to plough a lone furrow up front.”

“He took up that challenge willingly; his workrate is excellent and the good thing is that he has added another string to his bow by playing that role.”

“Bermudian star Wells, 23, has notched seven times in his 22 Championship appearances for Town after scoring 15 times for former club Bradford last season.”

Wells and his Huddersfield FC teammates set out on Sunday, July 13 for a trip to Portugal in order to take part in a seven-day stay at the Val de Lobo sporting complex, competing in friendly matches against Doncaster yesterday [July 15] and SC Portimonense on July 19 during their time away.
