Perinchief Wins Bronze At CAC Championships

The 2014 CAC Junior Championships continued in Morelia, Mexico on Saturday [July 5] with Bermuda’s Jah-Nhai Perinchief capturing a bronze medal competing in the 14-17 Boy’s High Jump. Perinchief was one of three jumpers to record a top leap of 2.02m with Perinchief finishing 3rd.

Jordan Bascome continued competing in the 14-17 Girls Heptathlon finishing first in the 800m clocking a time of 2:29.42. In the Long Jump event she placed 8th with a top leap of 4.41m and then had a top toss of 19.71m finishing 9th in the Javelin throw event.

During the 18-19 Boy’s Long Jump, Bruce Degrilla finished 8th with a top leap of 6.87m while Chas Smith finished 9th leaping 6.71m. Antonio Bailey missed out on a spot in the 14-17 Boy’s 200m race when he recorded the 13th fastest time of 22.49.
