Bermuda Fed Team Defeats Lasell At Home
As a result of the approach of Hurricane Cristobal, Lasell College brought the second game of their tour to Bermuda forward by one day as they took on the Bermuda Federation Team at the National Sports Center, a game that resulted in a 4-2 win for the home team.
Joanne Heaney gave Bermuda the lead with a field goal before Claudine Pullen doubled the lead with another field goal minutes before the half time break.
Ana Abend added to Bermuda’s lead when she scored a field goal in the 45th minute; seven minutes later, Heaney scored her second field goal of the game, giving Bermuda 4-0 lead.
Lasell College pulled a goal back in the 60th minute when Ashlee Pechilis scored a field goal, with another coming in the 70th minute when she scored again, this time from a penalty corner, but time ran out and the Bermuda Federation team came away with a 4-2 win.
