71-Year-Old Woman In ICU After Marine Incident
A 71-year-old female visitor is in serious condition in the ICU after running into difficulty while swimming in Dockyard today.
A police spokesperson said, “At 10:16am on Friday the 18th, first responders received a report of a possible near drowning of a 71 year old female visitor from the Norwegian Breakaway.
“It appears that the woman was swimming at the Snorkel Park in Dockyard when she ran into difficulties and called out for help. Persons in the area assisted and brought her to shore where at that time she was gasping and not responding.
“The victim was transport to KEMH via ambulance where she is presently in ICU listed in serious condition.”
