Cricket: BCB Release 2016 League Schedule

The Bermuda Cricket Board have released the 2016 League schedule that will see the season get underway on April 16th with two Twenty20 Double Headers.

At the Sea Breeze Oval at 11am, Western Stars will take on Cleveland County, that will see brothers Wendell and Clay take on each other as coaches, and then Bailey’s Bay will take on Willow Cuts.

At the White Hill Field, Somerset Bridge will take on St. George’s Cricket Club followed by Flatt’s Victoria and PHC.

The 50 over League season is scheduled to get underway on Sunday May 8th with Premier Division and First Division action, in the Premier Division the defending champions Southampton Rangers begin on the road when they travel to Sea Breeze Oval to take on Bailey’s Bay, while at Lord’s in St. David’s Eastern County rivals St. David’s Cricket Club and Cleveland County do battle and newly promoted Western Stars take on Willow Cuts at St. John’s Field.

In the First Division, Devonshire Recreation Club are at home to PHC, while St. George’s Cricket Club host Somerset Bridge and Somerset Cricket Club are at home to Warwick Workman’s Club.

The BELCO Cup is slated for May 14th and 15th, while the First Round of the Central County is slated for May 21st.
