BPro Soccer Clinics Set To Be Held This Summer
BPro Soccer clinics are set to be held this summer courtesy of David Bascome, President of Bascome Enterprise, with both a male and female camp to be available.
The clinics will be held from July 4-8 and from August 22-26 at the North Field at National Sports Centre for ages 4 through 14 for males and 4 through 16 for females, focusing on “soccer skills, self-discipline and the development of positive values that young people can use both on the field of play and in their daily lives.”
“Validus is thrilled to support David Bascome and the great work that his clinic carries out,” said Jeff Sangster, CFO of Validus Holdings.
“For 24 years these clinics have had a positive impact on children in our community promoting inclusiveness leadership skills and a strong work ethic.”
A spokesperson said, “Over the past 24 years, David Bascome, President of Bascome Enterprise, has impacted the lives of more than 6,500 young local soccer players through the annual Pro Soccer summer clinic, a programme that focuses on soccer skills, self-discipline and the development of positive values that young people can use both on the field of play and in their daily lives.
“This year we will be running two clinics, one for females, and one for males. The clinics will be held on 4 – 8 July and 22 – 26 August at the North Field, National Sports Centre for ages 4 through 14 and 4 through 16 for females. The clinic will be run under a Bascome Enterprise new curriculum which focuses on preparing players for the 21st century game.
“As we move into our 25th year it was important that we continue to strive to be a premium clinic in Bermuda, this year we aim to create better standards, promote player understanding and awareness, and create pathways for players. The Clinic will develop confident learners and have players that are committed to the learning they will receive.
“Not only have our Aims, Outcomes, Focus, Content broadened, but we have made sure to create a strong Methodology. The sessions will be practical and theory structured. They will produce a greater self-awareness with coaches and players.”
Mr. Bascome said, “The players’ learning environment will involve player instruction, organization of drills and competitive small sided games. Over the years we have been able to build a firm foundation on which the BPro Soccer Clinic has successfully grown. I could not be more pleased with the support we have been getting.”
Application forms for males and females for the 2016 Clinics are now available at the Sportseller at the lower level of the Washington Mall or on the website.
