Young Sailors Competing In C420 In California
Bermuda sailors Michael Wollmann and Camille Chin-Gurret — both 16 years old — are presently competing in the C420 North American Championship in California, and after two days of sailing are in 10th place.
They have now both aged out of Optimist sailing and are sailing in both Lasers and now 420 classes. The C420 North American Championship is their first international championship sailing together.
The Championship has 35 boats from top sailors all over USA under 22 years old. The championship takes place over 4 days at the Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club and presently the two Bermudian sailors are in 10 place with two more days of racing. Leading in the points are Eduardo and Declan Mc Granahan from Florida, USA.
