Ball Hockey: Halifax Mooseheads & Giants Win
The Bermuda Ball Hockey League season continued at the PCC Hockey Rink with 29 goals scored in a double header.
Gatineau Olympiques 3 – Halifax Mooseheads 11
The Halifax Mooseheads jumped out to a 5 – 1 lead at the end of the first period on their way to a 11 – 3 win over the Gatineau Olympiques. Jeremy Estey led the way with 4 goals, while Ronnie Dzurus and Jeffrey Loper added two goals each. Jeffrey Ingelman, Derek Farmer and Mark Waddington all chipped in with a goal. The Gatineau Olympiques got single strikes from Billy Calko, Christopher Merritt and Jon Talbot.
Vancouver Giants 12 – Tri City Americans 3
Cameron Poland’s hat-trick led the Vancouver Giants to victory, while Chad Cundliffe and Stephen Chin chipped in with 2 goals apiece, Peter Wootliff, Aaron Cook, Kyle Chisholm, Cory Caouette and Gosse Shannon all found the back of the net once for the winners. Josh Bush found the back of the net twice for the Tri City Americans, while Jacob Amlong added the other.
