The quarter finals of the Bermuda Football Association’s Sheild Trophy and Friendship Trophy took place last Sunday [Dec 18], with games taking place across the island, with the winners all advancing to the semi-finals.

X-Road’s 1 [1] – Young Men Social Club 1 [4]

At Bernard Park, this Shield Quarter-Final was decided by kicks from the penalty mark as league leaders Young Men Social Club advanced. After a scoreless first half, Clay Darrell gave Young Men Social Club a 1 – 0 lead in the 53rd minute, but twelve minutes later it was 1 – 1 when Mackih McGowan equalized for X-Road’s.

Neither goalkeeeper would be beaten again in regulation or in Extra Time and it would be Young Men Social Club to advance winning 4 – 1 from the kicks.

St. George’s Colts 7 – Hamilton Parish 0

At the St. John’s Field, the St. George’s Colts defeated Hamilton Parish 7 – 0. St. George’s Colts got a hat-trick from Jarazinho Bassett, Donovan Thompson scored twice, while Jahron Dickinson and Allan Douglas also added a goal each.

St. David’s 10 – Ireland Rangers 0

St. David’s scored ten unanswered goals at BAA Field as they defeated Ireland Rangers 10 – 0. Dunte Albouy recorded a hat-trick, while James Pace and Kevin Hurdle both scored twice. St. David’s got lone goals from Zachary Morris, Mikkail Crockwell and Delun Fishenden.

North Village Rams 4 – Devonshire Colts 1

The North Village Rams marched into the Friendship Semi-Finals with a 4 – 1 win over the Devonshire Colts at Bernard Park. Veteran Ralph Bean scored twice, while Keishen Bean and Enyce Zuill added a goal each, while Eli Smith scored the lone goal for the Devonshire Colts.

Dandy Town Hornets 3 – Somerset Trojans 1

At the St. John’s Field the Dandy Town Hornets put their league troubles behind them and recorded a 3 – 1 win over the Somerset Trojans. Damon Ming, Korvon Tucker and Angelo Simmons all found the back of the net for the Dandy Town Hornets, while Jonathan Bean scored the lone goal for the Somerset Trojans.

Robin Hood 0 – Devonshire Cougars 1

The lone goal in this game came in the 33rd minute when Tre Tucker scored for the Devonshire Cougars as they defeated Robin Hood 1 – 0 to advance to the Semi-Finals.
