Photos: Zebras Defeat Rams, Vasco Edge Wolves

Footballers were in action on Saturday — which will actually be the last day of football for this weekend with the BFA advising there will be no Sunday games, per a request from the Ministry of Health — and the Saturday matches saw PHC Zebras defeat the North Village Rams in the Premier Division, while the Vasco defeated Wolves in the First Division.

Premier Division: PHC Zebras 3 – North Village Rams 1

At the PHC Stadium, the PHC Zebras picked up 3points following their 3 – 1 win over the North Village Rams.

The PHC Zebras took the lead in the 32nd minute when North Village Rams goalkeeper Daniel Johnson palmed a Marco Warren free-kick down, the ball fell to PHC Zebras’ Corey Booth, whose cross was redirected into the back of the net by Keishon Bean.

Darren Usher doubled the PHC Zebras lead when he scored in the 72nd minute, but six minutes later the North Village Rams pulled a goal back with Jarryd Richardson scored.

Enrique Russell got the scoresheet when he converted from the penalty spot to make it 3 – 1.

First Division: Wolves 2 – Vasco 4

At the Garrison Field, Vasco defeated Wolves 4 – 2.

Wolves took the lead in the 39th minute when Lamelle Paynter scored, but one minute later it was 1 – 1 when Ayrton Vanduyne scored.

Vincent Minors converted from the penalty spot in the 56th minute to put Wolves back in front, but Kyle Godfrey scored in the 65th minute for Vasco to level the score at 2 – 2.

Nicholas Lopes scored for Vasco in the 80th minute to give them the lead for the first time in the match, and then Kevin Cabral would make it 4 – 2 to Vasco when he found the back of the net in the 88th minute.
