Photos & Results: RES Spring Equestrian Show

The 2017 RES Spring Series Show No. 1 got underway on Saturday [Jan 21] under a mix of sun and clouds, and luckily the rain held off until after the completion of the last class.

The first day of showing was dominated by the Hunter classes both for ponies and horses, with action getting underway at 8:30am.

Skyla White riding the pony Finding Nemo won the X-Rail Over Fences Class, with Courtney Sims on Random Rainman in second, while Ruth Exell on Wintermint was third. On the X-Rail flat clas, it was Courtney Dims placing first, with Ruth second and Skyla third.

On the Low Hunter Pony over fences, Kristen Bean riding Just Pete took the blue ribbon, with Camryn Lines on Spot the Dot taking second. On the next round of the low Hunter handy over fences, Camryn took first place honours with Julia Slade taking second place on Just Pete.

Hunter Pony under saddle was won by Amber Bridges riding Wintermint, Hunter Handy Pony over fences was won by Emma Stegmann riding Gemini ,and Hunter Pony over fences blue ribbon was won by Nicholas Lopes riding Don’t Blink.

Onto the horses, newcomer horse to Bermuda Casanova ridden by Michael Rodrigues claimed first place honours in both the Low Hunter Handy Over Fences and Low Hunter Under Saddle. Low Hunter over fences was won by Let’s Play ridden by Carla Stempel.

De Le Vega ridden by Casey Truran won first place in both the Junior Hunter under saddle and Junior Hunter Over Fences, with Boom Boom Pow winning blue on the Junior Hunter Over Fences.

Finally, Midiro WF ridden by Kirista Rabain took top honours in the Working Hunter Under Saddle with Forza ridden by Nick Decosta claiming first in the Working Handy Hunter Over Fences, and Emerson ridden by Philip Correia won the Working Hunter Over Fences.
