Court: Man Admits Stealing, Causing Damage

February 20, 2017

Appearing in Magistrates Court today, a 20-year-old man pleaded guilty to unlawfully entering a business, stealing items and causing damage.

Kyajee Wilson pleaded guilty to entering an east end business, stealing items worth $450 and unlawfully causing damage to the building.

The Crown Prosecutor told Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe that in November 2016, Wilson had broken into the premises and ransacked the office, resulting in filing cabinets being thrown into a roadway.

Wilson’s actions had been captured on CCTV which enabled police to identify, find, and arrest him.

The Magistrate ordered Social Inquiry and BARC reports, set sentencing for April, and granted bail at $1,500 with one surety.
