Second Man Arrested After Fight In Hamilton

The 18-year-old man who was injured during the fight at the Hamilton bus terminal on Monday has been arrested after being discharged from the hospital and he, along with the 20-year-old man who was also arrested in connection with the same incident, have both been released on police bail.

A police spokesperson said, “At last check earlier this morning [February 1st] the 18-year-old man injured during an altercation that occurred at the City of Hamilton bus terminal around 11:30am Monday, January 29th had been discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment on a general ward. He was then arrested in connection with the incident.

“A 20-year-old man also hurt in the same incident was initially arrested after being treated and discharged from the hospital sometime later on Monday. Both men have since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

“The appeal for witnesses continues and anyone with any information regarding this matter is encouraged to contact the Criminal Investigation Department on 247-1744.”
