Footballers In UK, Slovenia, Sweden & Estonia

The island has footballers in action across Europe, with Reggie Lambe, Djair Parfitt-Williams, Dante Leverock, and Willie Clemons playing for their respective teams in England, Slovenia, Estonia and Sweden this weekend.

Reggie Lambe in England

Exeter and Carlisle played to 1 – 1 draw at St James Park.

Dean Moxey gave the hosts the lead three minutes before the end of a first half, but Carlisle took advantage of a defensive error to equalize through substitute Ashley Nadesan in the 64th minute and extend their unbeaten run to five games.

Hallam Hope and sub Reggie Lambe were denied by late saves as Carlisle left St James’ Park with one point.

Djair Parfitt-Williams in Slovenia

Djair Parfitt-Williams started for NK Rudar Velenje as they won their first domestic spring match 3 – 0 against Krško.

After a scoreless first half, Damjan Trifković gave NK Rudar Velenje the lead in the 47th minute, Josip Tomasevic doubled the lead with a strike in the 79th minute and then Leon Krnčič scored the third in stoppage time.

Dante Leverock in Estonia

Dante Leverock  started in JK Navra Trans 2 – 2 drawn match against Nõmme Kalju.

Igor Ovsjannikov gave JK Navra Trans the lead in the 6th minute, but Ellinton Costa Morais would equalize for Nõmme Kalju in the 58th minute.

JK Navra Trans would go back in front when Eduard Golovljov scored in the 75th minute, but an own goal in the 77th minute earned Nõmme Kalju a draw.

Willie Clemons in Sweden

Willie Clemons and his Bodens BK teammates defeated IFK Luleå in Arcushallen, in a pre-season match

Bodens BK won the battle after a very nice game 1 – 0.

Clemons‏ said, “Good 1-0 win today against a tough side, it was not the best performance, but that’s what preseason is for. I had a solid 45 minutes underneath my belt, although I picked up a little knock, it was a good day at the office otherwise.”
