Robin Horsfield Opens MTB Season In Canada
Bermuda’s National Mountain Bike Champion opened his race season in Uxbridge, Ontario on the weekend.
Robin Horsfield, who turned 18 in December, moved up to the men’s category with a debut performance in Ontario’s senior elite category against the provinces top professionals and world-ranked riders. He finished in 10th position.
Coach Mark Brown notes: “This performance was a spectacular debut against the best in Ontario. Many of the men in this category have a decade or more of experience at this distance and with this calibre of rider and are or were full time professionals. This is an excellent starting point for Robin’s season.”
Horsfield is racing for the province’s top development team, Team Hardwood Next Wave.
