Rawlins Shines But Sussex Seconds Fall
Delray Rawlins and his Sussex 2nd XI teammates took on Middlesex in their Second XI Trophy match at the Blackstone Academy Ground.
Sussex won the toss and sent Middlesex to bat, they would score 282/8 in their 50 overs, Matthew Holden was the top scorer with 134, while Abi Sakande was the pick of the Sussex bowlers with figures of 10-2-37-5.
In reply Rawlins led the charge but Sussex would fall 37 runs short of their target as they were bowled out for 245, Rawlins batting in the number four position was the top scorer with 62, he faced 57 deliveries in his 83 minute stay at the crease, Rawlins would hit 5 fours and 4 sixes in his inning.
