Video: Sunday Nov 11th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that KFC donated over $3,000 to the Big Brothers Big Sisters charity, students presented the Premier with artwork, the Department of Health held its CHIP Graduation, the convening of Youth Parliament took place, and the Newport Bermuda Race earned gold-level certification from Sailors for Seas’ Clean Regattas program were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, a ribbon cutting was held at the NASA Tracking Station on Cooper’s Island, CedarBridge Academy held its Induction Ceremony, Connectech held a girls coding camp, AXA XL sponsored the annual End-to-End, and the Senior Islanders Centre raised over $7,000.
Other good news stories included Domico Watson running in the New York Marathon, Minister Lovitta Foggo congratulating the Bermuda Wushu Team, the 6 & 7-A-Side football tournament being held, the Tire Massive Mountain Bike Race series getting underway, and Gold Point Archery League action continuing.
We also posted various community photo galleries, including coverage of the Silver Spirit cruise ship in Hamilton, the Classic Lions Youth Rugby Day, the Fidelity International Road Race, the Golf Mixed Foursomes Championships, the FYG Bermuda Strongman Competition, the World Rugby Classic, and students presenting the Premier with artwork.
