“This year’s event, Culture Shock 26, features reggae icons Busy Signal backed by Fireworks Band, along with Christopher Martin and Jahmiel backed by Jam Donz Band. Also performing are Bermuda’s own General Kaution, B.L.A.C., Rowdy Piper, Lijah, backed by D.I.A. Band.

“The event will be hosted by MC Richie B out of HOT 102 FM Jamaica.

“Tickets are now on sale! Advanced tickets can be purchased for $85 online at Ptix.bm, at Audio Visual [both branches], and at Choice’s Menswear. Tickets are $100 at the door.

“Sponsors include Goslings, Sound Concepts Ltd., Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Chivas, and Hennessy. No re-entry, no videos, and no coolers allowed. Must be 18 years or older, and security will be tight.

“Culture Shock started approximately 26 years ago until 2010. Concerts over the years included Popcaan, I-Octane, Beres Hammond, Jah Cure, Buju Banton, Taurus Riley, Richie Spice, and many more. While accumulating about 3,000 attendees at last year’s event, Culture Shock is known to be one of the biggest events annually and named a show in a class by itself.

“While enabling local artists to grace the stage, alongside global icons, this event has promoted local talent beyond measure. While creating a safe atmosphere to enjoy good music and culture, Culture Shock 26 is the place to be on July 6th.”
