Dragon Warrior Obstacle Challenge On Oct 27
Little Tigers Martial Arts is getting set to host the Dragon Warrior Obstacle Challenge [DWOC] on Sunday, October 27 from 1.00pm to 5.00pm in the Warwick Academy gym.
A spokesperson said, “All 5 to 12-year-olds are invited to master the Dragon Warrior Obstacle Challenge on Sunday, October 27 from 1.00pm to 5.00pm in Warwick Academy’s gym. The DWOC consists of 10 challenging obstacles designed to test the fittest, humble the fastest and bring out true grit in all youth warrior participants.
“A DWOC participant will also have to exercise a fine balance of strategy, focus, strength, stamina and speed to complete the Challenge with the fastest time.
“Prizes will be awarded to the first three male and female winners within each of the following age categories: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12. At all DWOC events, winners will be immediately photographed for posting, inclusive of bios, on the DWOC website. In addition, all winners will receive special invitations to return and defend their titles at the next DWOC event, to be held on November 17.
“As community give-back is an important lesson to impart to all students, this DWOC event will also give partial proceeds to BHS to help their year 10-12 students with their March 2020 Japan Business/Cultural Educational Tour.
“Little Tigers Martial Arts initially created the DWOC to enhance its martial arts learning curriculum by providing its students with a variety of challenging obstacles aimed at developing martial arts agility.
“At first, the martial arts school planned, developed and successfully executed a few martial arts program centered obstacle events with fewer obstacles just for our students and their friends. Later major events for primary school student’s island wide at the Bermuda College and a special event for Warwick Academy students were held.
“The school continuously looks for innovative ways to support current senior martial arts students with accessing a broader platform to further develop discipline, confidence and communication skills whilst at the same time fine tuning martial arts techniques. All senior martial arts students are invited to play key skill building roles within the DWOC event.
“High school students island-wide are encouraged to mail within the website to learn about October 27 DWOC community service opportunities.
