Bermuda Sailors Conclude Orange Bowl Regatta
The Orange Bowl International Youth Sailing Regatta 2019 has come to an end, as 14 Bermuda sailors took to the waters of Miami for the final time having sailed 12 races.
Pharaoh Benevides led the Bermuda sailors in the Optimist Green Fleet with 189 net points and finished in 16th place. Benevides’ best finish of the regatta was a fourth place finish in the 10th race. Oliver Soares finished in 18th with 216 net points, while Cody Rans finished 19th with 218 net points.
Dylan Menzies finished in 29th with 319 net points, with Finbar Lohan holding down the 35th position with 362 net points. Margaret Adderley finished in the 55th position with 571 net points and Ian Shaw finished in 58th with 607 net points.
PJ Rodrigues remained in 19th place in the Red Fleet with 225 net points, with Rachael Betschart finishing in 23rd with 254 net points. 324 net points saw Kipling Rossouw hold down 30th spot and Isaac Wickramage finished in 49th with 337 net points.
Jordan Vieira finished in 56th with 434 net points, while Sergio De Frias finished in 57th place with 449 net points and Jack Adderley finished in 61st with 514 net points.
Ethan Thompson led the Bermuda sailors in the Blue Fleet, finishing in 28th place with 123 net points, while Sophia Dias finished in 38th with 217 net points.
Sarah Davis finished in 47th with 284 net points, while Trystan Hocking finished in 71st with 399 net points and Ciarra Wells finished in 100th with 656 net points.
In the White Fleet, Luis Miguel Power finished in 15th place with 506 net points.
