Bascome & Lambe Win Fight Night Pro Matches

The hometown fans at last night’s [Jan 18] Fight Night event at the Fairmont Southampton were given plenty to cheer about, as multiple local fighters defeated their overseas opponents, including Nikki Bascome claiming another pro victory, while Andre Lambe won his pro debut in fine style.

In front of a packed and enthusiastic audience, Nikki Bascome picked up a unanimous decision over England’s Ryan Oliver, with all three judges scoring the fight 78-74, 78-74, 78-74 to Bascome.

Andre Lambe had a debut to remember when he staggered Matthew Hinchey with the first punch of the fight, with referee Anthony Mouchette giving Hinchey a standing eight count.

Lambe continued to pummel Hinchey, and the end of the first round, Hinchey staggered back against the ropes after a hard shot to the head from Lambe, so the referee ended the fight, and Lambe picked up the win by TKO causing celebrations among the crowd.

There were a number of other fights on the night; Michael Parsons was also making his pro debut and he took on Daniel Roach, with Roach declared the winner by unanimous decision.

Smythe defeated Matther Munarolo by unanimous decision, and Ngai Franklin also defeated Zaire Williams by unanimous decision.

George Cook and Jordan DeShields also took to the ring, with DeShields defeating Cook by unanimous decision.

The only female fight of the night saw Canada’s Willow Morton take on Bermuda’s Answer Styannes, with Morton winning by unanimous decision.

Cyril Whitter then faced off against Alex Navarro, with Navarro winning, Adrian Roach won his fight against Hamza Zarwari by unanimous decision, while Milad Zareian defeated Scott Brown by unanimous decision.

Lovintz Toto faced off against Zaheer Ishan, and after taking a pummeling from Tota, Ishan received a standing eight count in the second round, and then in the third round, Tota picked up the win with a TKO, receiving enthusiastic applause from the crowd.

Donovan Samari and Robert Somner were also in the ring with Samari picking up the win by unanimous decision and in the final amateur fight, Jaylon Roberts and Michael Sanchez took to the ring, and the fight would end with yet another unanimous decision as Roberts defeated Sanchez.
