Meals On Wheels Appeals For Volunteers

March 23, 2020

Meals on Wheels are appealing for volunteers for kitchen operations, deliveries and also additional help with the phones and administration.

A spokesperson said, “Meals on Wheels offer an essential and critical service and we need to keep operational through these challenging times. Many of our regular volunteers are no longer able to assist us and so we need help with our kitchen operations [mornings] and deliveries to clients [lunchtimes]. We will also need additional help with the phones and administration.

“To mitigate the risk of Covid-19 to yourself and our clients you must be between 18-60, have not been off the Island in the last 28 days, be fit & healthy and not considered high risk, and not share a home with someone who could be high risk.

“If you think you might be able to help us, you will find more information in our application form available online at www.mealsonwheels.bm. Please complete the form and send to mowbdavolunteers@gmail.com or call us on 236 1815.

“Some of Bermuda’s most vulnerable people rely on us, help us to keep our wheels turning.”
