F.A.Q.

Who is this website affiliated with?
No one. This website is an independent entity, not affliated with any political party, person or company – simply a 100% Bermudian run website. It is not a Government entity, and is not funded by the taxpayer.

-

I have news, can I submit it?
Yes! Please do, we would love to hear from you.

-

The videos play so slow, is there anything I can do ?
Yes, there is. The rate the videos play is dependent on your internet connection not our website. A simple little ‘trick’ you can do is pause the video for a few minutes and let it load prior to viewing it.

-

I noticed an error on this site [factual, broken link etc]
Okay, that’s embarrassing for us! Please contact us and report any errors of any kind.

-

Some of your pages load kind of slow?
Trust us, we know and do apologize for it. It’s unfortunately rather unavoidable due to the sheer volume of multimedia content. For example, if we have a 150 page e-book and 10 video links on a page – it will simply load slower then a website page with nothing but text. We do run a cache system to maximise website speed, and do all we can do improve it. You will notice the second time you load a page, it is considerably quicker then the initial load.

-

You forgot <insert name here> on the Bermudian profiles!
Most likely we did not “forget” anyone, we simply were unable to do it, and we would like to respectfully request that people do not email us demanding that they and their family members be added, or questioning why they or their family are not added.

This website is fairly new and we launched with over 60 Bermudian profiles, incorporating hundreds of photos, videos, ebooks and audio. It is already the largest collection available online, and additional people will be profiled in the future. We intend to steadily improve both the profiles we have, as well as add more.

As our website focuses on bringing Bermudian content in a multimedia format, for us to do a profile we need access to such content; video, audio or photos, and of course we need material we are legally able to use.

Many times it is easier said then done to obtain such items – particularly in the case of older Bermudians.

If there is someone whom you think should be listed in the profile section, please feel free to contact us with content; photos and information, and we will make the editorial decision whether they will be included or not.

-

I love your site/concept, is there anything I can do to help?
Thanks, and yes we will take any help we can get! Submitting news, photos, videos, event reports etc, anything of that nature would be great – especially if it’s positive news.
