March 10, 2010

Reuben Bean dominated the recently held 2010 Arnold Martial Arts Festival, winning three gold medals in Traditional Karate, Traditional Kobujutsu and Traditional Kung Fu.

Held in Columbus, Ohio from March 5-7 2010,  the annual event is the brainchild of former bodybuilder and now Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Arnold Sports Festival is an international sporting event and expo which saw over 40,000 athletes from around the world compete in various events.

At least a dozen Bermudians traditionally attend the Arnold Sports Festival each year, both as competitors and spectators.

Mr. Bean, the founder of Jiketsu Martial Productions, can add these three gold medals to the stack he has already won at the Ohio sports event.

At the 2006 Arnold Classic Martial Arts Festival he won a gold medal in Wing Chun Kung Fu Form. Mr. Bean also won a gold, silver and bronze medal in karate weapons, karate kata and wing chun forms at the 2007 Arnold Martial Arts Festival.
