RMS Road Race: Estwaniks Finish 1st & 2nd

This morning’s [April 25] RMS Construction 20K/10K was yet another Estwanik affair, with Chris Estwanik winning in dominating fashion a full 5 minutes ahead of the second placer – who was his wife Ashley. Mrs Estwanik made a very impressive showing finishing second overall, also making her the first female to finish.

The race started and finished at BAA club house on Woodlands Road, and runners had the option of running a 10k, or 20k.

Through the race Chris Estwanik broke from the pack, and appeared to be around a mile ahead of the lead pack.

Surprising no one, Chris Estwanik won the 10k portion of the race in convincing fashion, over 5 minutes, and approximately a mile ahead of the second placer.

Following her husband in the 10k, coming in second place overall, and the first female was Ashley Couper-Estwanik. Mrs Estwanik’s mother Peggy Couper won the over 60 category in the 20k.
