Man Arrested in Connection with Martin Murder
The Police have confirmed that a man has been arrested in connection with the murder of 24 year old Dekimo Martin that took place yesterday morning in Sandy’s Parish.
Mr Martin, known as “Purple”, died of multiple gunshots wounds at approximately 1:45am, after being shot at his residence of #8 Peacock Crescent, Sandy’s Parish in the early hours of Friday May 28th morning. His death was the fifth murder of 2010.
The police have said that no further details on the suspect will be released at this time.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them on 295-0011, or call the confidential crimestoppers number 1-800-8477. The investigating team is continuing to appeal for witnesses; in particular any area residents or anyone that was in the vicinity of Woodlawn Road, Butterfield Lane, & Peacock Crescent – that may have seen or heard anything related to this incident – however irrelevant it may seem.
