Pro Footballer Khano Smith Dislocates Shoulder
Bermudian professional football player Khano Smith has dislocated his right shoulder following an on-the-field incident during a weekend game in the US.
The 29-year-old plays for New England Revolution in the US, and went off with the injury in the 78th minute of play in a game against Chivas USA, which they lost 2-0. Unfortunately for the team, the Revolution had already had made three substitutions, so the club was forced to play the final 12 minutes of the game with only 10 men on the field.
Mr Smith, who has represented the island internationally, did not participate in training today [Sept 14], but has been receiving treatment on his shoulder since Friday night. He is awaiting the arrival of a new stabilizing brace that will allow him to play, and then his availability for the upcoming road trip will be made.
