BDA Suggestions To Help Revitalize St George’s

November 8, 2010

The Bermuda Democratic Alliance (BDA) has made a number of suggestions to help revitalize St George’s, which has been hard hit financially in recent years.

A few of the many suggestions made are; offering incentives to start a new business in the East End such as a payroll tax break for the first year and a startup loan with low interest, moving some Govenment offices to the East End, as well as offering incentives to possibly attract international businesses to locate in the area.

I think that the ideas given are good. They are giving ideas to fix a run down town that i can say i never visit (maybe once and year). I think their idea about providing smaller boat the opportunity to run inshore fishing trips would be good, although their would most likely be problems with Fisheries.

I am more than a little disturbed by the number of spelling and grammar mistakes in this presentation. If this is the best they can do…

  3. Scott Pitcher says:

Ideas and possible solutions that are genuinely doable is what St. George’s needs. These suggestions are viable and should be discussed until solutions can be formed and implemented.

  4. Peter Barrett says:

The BDA is all about bringing everyone together, thinking outside the box and suggesting solutions. The BDA presentation is a step in the right direction. This presentation demonstrates again that the Alliance has what it takes to lead this country and pave the way for a brighter future. For those who believe there is a better way, then I invite you to our next regional caucus meeting. You will be heard, and your views will be accepted unconditionally.
