Home Invasion Beating Victim Airlifted Overseas

November 23, 2010

The Police have provided detailed official information about the incident which occurred last night [Nov 22], saying that about 10pm a 41-year-old Warwick man arrived at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment, with the injuries first reported to have been sustained in a traffic accident.

Some 5.5 hours later, about 3:30am today, Police say they were first made aware through one of the man’s relatives that he was being treated at KEMH for serious head injuries.

The Police say it now appears that around 9:50pm last night a “number of unknown men” gained entry into a Cobbs Hill Road, Warwick residence by smashing through a glass door and assaulted the victim. He was airlifted overseas this morning to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston USA for further medical treatment.
