Nov 16 Lunch & Learn: Bermuda’s Political Parties

November 15, 2010

BEPRO, a branch of the Chamber of Commerce, is hosting a ‘Lunch and Learn’ tomorrow [Nov 16] to learn about Bermuda’s political parties. The event will take place at the Chamber of Commerce beginning at 12pm until 1.15pm.

BEPRO’s membership includes young professionals from all industries looking to network and develop together. Founded in 2009, their mission is to connect a diverse and progressive network of emerging professionals who wish to develop professionally, socially, and civically.

This lunch and learn is an opportunity for our members as well as members of the public to learn about the political parties.  The topics to be discussed at the event are as follows:

  • What does your party represent/stand for?
  • What do you consider to be the islands major challenges?
  • What is your perception of an ideal Bermuda?

Each party will be given 5-7 minutes to discuss each question. Questions will be reserved for after the formal presentations have ended. Representatives speaking will be PLP Senator David Burt, UBP Senator Jeanne Atherden, and BDA Leader Craig Cannonier.

This is not a debate but an opportunity to learn about Bermuda’s political parties. Here’s an opportunity for you to rethink your understanding of what each party represents.
