Video: Marine Technician Explains BIOS Equipment

During their Marine Science Day held on November 20, Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences [BIOS] marine technician Matt Wilkinson briefly explained what he called the “most important” piece of equipment as far as data collection aboard BIOS’s multimillion-dollar research ship the HSBC Atlantic Explorer.

The machine is lowered into the sea, and is able to stop at 24 different depths, traveling to a maximum depth of 6,000 metres.
