Ambulance on Standby: Incoming Passenger

[Updated] After airline staff reported having a passenger with medical needs aboard, emergency personnel were on standby as this evening’s [Dec 22] British Airways flight 2233 arrived from London, landing at approximately 6:15pm. Both the airport fire personnel and an ambulance attended the arriving flight. While the nature of the passenger’s illness remains unclear, Bernews unofficially understands that the individual is not considered seriously ill.

Update 8:40pm: Airline officials said that the medical issue was actually with a crew member who hurt her back. However once landed she declined to go to the hospital preferring to see a doctor at a later stage.
