Broken Main Disrupts Hotel Water Temporarily
A broken water main at the Fairmont Southampton Hotel briefly interrupted water supply overnight, however the engineering crew worked through the night to restore water access for this morning [Jan 2].
Shelley Meszoly, Regional Director of Sales & Marketing Fairmont Hotels Bermuda, confirmed that a major water main at the hotel broke in the middle of the night, and that there was no water in the building from 2am – 7am.”
Ms Meszoly continued on to say that “Our engineering crew worked all night to rectify the situation. Cold water was restored by 7am and hot water was restored by 11am.”
“Emergencies like this do happen occasionally and we thank our guests and colleagues for their patience. We would also like to thank our colleagues who worked through the night to restore service for our guests.”
