Slideshow: Regiment Platoon Drill Competition

January 29, 2011

This afternoon [Jan 29] the Bermuda Regiment Open House and Platoon Drill Competition event was held at Warwick Camp. Friend and family packed the sidelines as the recruits went through the final day of the 2011 Bermuda Regiment Recruit Camp.

On January 16, 162 recruits passed through the gates of Warwick Camp and began two weeks of intense training. Of the total number of new recruits, 36 were volunteers, and 9 of those were female recruits, a significant increase in the number of volunteers, both men and women, from recent years.

Very impressive ! Standards seem to be even higher than when I was in.
These guys (and gals) look SHARP . We should see some great parades from them in the future. And despite all the recent ‘Regiment hate’ all the onlookers look pretty proud to me.
Great day and congrats to all of you.
