Football Results: Bistro Cup Semi Finals

Corona League leaders Vasco bowed out of the Bistro Cup at the hands of Lock ‘N’ Key last night [Feb. 25] following a penalty shootout. The two teams battled to a 3 – 3 draw during regulation time, with Lock ‘N’ Key losing a 3 goal lead, however they would hold their nerve to win the Marathon Shootout.

Lock ‘N’ Key got two goals from Quinton Basden and a single strike from Marlon Dill who scored from the penalty spot. However, with some 30 minutes remaining, Vasco staged a comeback getting goals from Milton Ferreira, Otis Steede and Ricardo Madeiros who equalized from the penalty spot.

In the other Bistro Cup Semi-Final, the North Village Rams advanced following their 3-2 win over Tuff Dogs. Lamual Crofton gave Tuff Dogs the lead in the first half, but Nakia Smith equalized just before the half time break for the North Village Rams. Early in the second half the North Village Rams took the lead when James Roach scored, but Marcel Dill equalized for Tuff Dogs. Kyle Lightbourne stepped up to score the North Village Rams winner from another corner.

    In the future , they need to get a referee for cup games that knows what he is doing. Anyone that watched that game would have seen the bad calls that the ref and both linesmen made. Dont let these bad calls spoil the Corona League.
