Police Training Exercise At Sonesta
Word began to spread this morning [Mar.22] that there may have been a firearm incident in the Sonesta Beach area in Southampton, with reports ranging from a shoot-out to men having fired at the Police.
Various versions began to circulate via Blackberry messenger.
Bernews attended the area and found at at least three marked police cars, one unmarked vehicle, a white van and approximately eight officers were seen.
Questioning the Police, they explained it was a training exercise, which was actually ending at that time.

stupid…..the regiment announce training excerises at Ferry Reach, Long Bay etc, but these idiots don’t say a word to the public? Leaves some ppl second guessing the next time won’t bother to call 911 since the gunshots may be ‘police training’ exercise……stupid
