2011 Miss World To Be Held In London

The date and location for the 61st Miss World Final has been announced – 8th November 2011, in London, England. For the first time in over a decade Bermuda will send a representative to the contest as sixteen young ladies will compete for the title of Miss Bermuda on June 12 at the Fairmont Southampton. 32 years ago, when the Miss World was also held in London in November, Bermuda’s own Gina Swainson won the crown, marking the first, and only time, a Bermudian has won a major beauty pageant.
