Blake Burgess Wins Sailor of the Year
Blake Burgess will be Graduating from Christchurch School on May 28th, and has been accepted to Maine Maritime Academy were he plans to study Maritime Transportation and is hoping to qualify for the Mariners Sailing Team.
Blake’s last regatta of his high school sailing career was the Virginia State Championships which Christchurch Sailing Team won last weekend.
He sailed in the school A Boat, recording three first place finishes, three second place finishes and a fifth, his hat-trick of victories came on the very last race, to close out an excellent three years of Varsity Sailing for Christchurch School .
Blake was also awarded Virgina Interscholastic Sailing Association Sailor of the Year.
