Christina Dodwell: Fairmont Leadership Program

Bermudian Christina Dodwell has been appointed to to Fairmont’s Leadership Development Program – Spa (LDP).

Regional Director of Human Resources Nelda Simons said, “We are thrilled to have Ms. Dodwell join the Fairmont Southampton as the newest member of our Leadership Development Program whose focus will be in the Willow Stream Spa. We are encouraged to see young, talented Bermudians who are not only willing to work in the hotel industry, but are committed to gaining the knowledge and experience to assume leadership roles in the future.”

Fairmont’s Leadership Development Program is an 18 month program designed to develop leadership skills and a developmental career path for individuals who graduate from the program in a choice of disciplines including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Human Resources, Spa, Accounting, and Revenue Management to become Executive Committee members within five years and General Managers within ten years.

Ms. Dodwell is the third Bermudian to join the LDP at the Fairmont Southampton. The first Bermudian to complete the program was Mr. Peter Kyle (LDP – Rooms) who completed the program in 2010 and who was recently appointed to the post of Fairmont Gold Manager at the Fairmont Southampton. Mr. Russell Griffith, who will complete the Leadership Development Program (LDP – F&B) in 2012, currently holds the position of Manager, Uniform Services.

Christina Dodwell holds a degree in International Business from the College of Charleston in South Carolina.
