Resident Confronts Burglar During Break-In
A home occupant received minor injuries after confronting a burglar who broke into his home early this morning [July 19].
The burglar broke into a Patience Avenue, Sandys parish residence and was confronted by the male occupant, however the burglar managed to escape with a laptop computer, cellular phone and jewelry.
The home occupant received relatively minor injuries during the fight with the burglar and was taken to hospital for treatment and later released. Despite a police search of the vicinity, the suspect was not located.
A Police spokesman said, “Around 2:50am on Tuesday, Police responded to a report of a burglary at a Patience Avenue, Sandys parish residence. It appears that around 2:40am that day an unknown intruder gained entry into the home and was confronted by the male occupant.”
“A struggle ensued; however the suspect managed to make good his escape with a laptop computer, cellular phone and jewelry. The male occupant received relatively minor injuries and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. He was later discharged.”
“Officers conducted a search of the vicinity, but the suspect was not located. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit at 234-1010.”
A thief is just a big ol friggin Rat … Put the right bait , set the trap and catch that rabid rodent .
I’m quite willing to post a picture of the baseball bat that awaits the poor guy who breaks in at my place. He’ll be carried out for sure.
Now Now remember too much force will get you locked up for more time then him. lol. but i understand.

thats not to say people wont defend themselves, but i think there’s less of them here then portrayed.
Is there any word on how these people are breaking in? Are they getting in through an open window, forced entry, what?. People need to secure their homes more now than ever before…..
