2011 ISL Soccer All-Star Gala Awards
The 2011 Lindo’s ISL Commissioner’s Gala was held last night [Aug.6] at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess Hotel.
The event was hosted by David Bascome and featured the introductions of all Lindo’s ISL, MISL All Stars and Kappa All Stars, with key note speaker Mike Williams.
The 2011 Lindo’s ISL award winners were announced including, MVP – Cecoy Robinson, Top Goal Scorer – Cecoy Robinson , Best Referee – Kuhn Evans, Top Goalkeeper – Daniel Johnson, Top Defender – Blenn Bean, and Coach of the year – John Barry Nusum.
The Arsenal was well represented as Striker Cecoy Robinson won the MVP award and the award for most goals in the season (16). Robinson was the most consistent player during the regular season.
Cecoy led the 2011 Lindo’s ISL in goal scoring with 16. He scored two or more goals in five of the six regular season matches…Scored four goals in the Arsenal’s June 25th win vs. the Union…Recorded a hat trick in the Arsenal’s victory over the Kings June 28th…Scored four goals including a natural hat trick in the second quarter of the Arsenal’s 9-7 loss to the Royal on July 2nd…Scored the first goal in the 2011 Lindo’s ISL Championship match vs. the Knights.
Head Coach John Barry Nusum won the Coach of the Year award. Nusum led his squad to the 2011 Lindo’s ISL Championship. Nusum guided the Arsenal to a 5-1 regular season mark.
