Car & Truck Collide On South Road

[Updated] Late this morning [Aug.17] an accident occurred on South Road by Botanical Gardens involving a car and a truck. Emergency personnel attended the scene, which saw slight traffic delays in the area as police officers examined and cleaned up the accident scene. Both vehicles sustained damage, with the car being damaged more severely.

Update: A police spokesperson said, ““Around 10:40am on Wednesday, police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of South Road and Happy Talk Lane in Paget involving a car and a truck.”

“It appears that both vehicles were traveling along South Road when they collided. The car driver, a 53 year old woman and the truck driver, a 53 year old man were not injured; however the car’s passenger, a 48 year old man, received minor injuries which apparently did not require hospital treatment. Both the car and the truck were damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.”
