Amazing how technoligy has created such monsters.

Years ago, they floated after 5 days…………………………..

    • for real says:

Lack of morals, lust and this antichrist life stiyle that you all let into Bermuda. I sopos one day in you know where he will be getting married to the boy. Maybe on the new oil rig like cities they say they are making. No rules or morals holding them back they will have as many boys as want.

Dont you every say technoligy created anybody like this. The Bible lets us know how pervent hummans from engaging in this kina of stuff. All we got to do is read a follow the word.

      • Pastor Syl says:

If you think this is something new, you are sadly mistaken! Back in the ’80s, the RAPE Crisis Center did a survey and found that 1 in every 2 females and 1 in every 3-4 males had been sexually molested in some form before the age of 16. Admittedly, it was not a scientific study but anecdotal evidence would indicate that those figures are fairly accurate, and held true going back many years. In addition, men who molest children generally don’t care whether the child is male or female. It is the fact that they are children – helpless, vulnerable, unable to fight back and easily terrorized into keeping quiet about the attack – that makes them targets. Rape and sexual assault often isn’t about the sex anyhow, it is about power and control. This is why the elderly are also often targets, but we haven’t started talking about that yet.

More often than not, the men who perform these heinous acts, whether or not they target male children, consider themselves to be heterosexual. In fact, based on US reports and an unofficial survey of Bermudian perpetrators, more than 90% of sexual assaults are committed heterosexual males, maybe 5% by gay males and maybe 2% by females.

The only thing technology has provided is the ability to more easily access pornography of any sort.

        • Nothing But the Truth says:

Though you comment was well written there is a major flaw. Molesters do have preferences and studies show that SOME children who have been molested can become molesters.

  2. 80s Sonesta Kid says:

    Beastiality? YUCK

  3. shakaZulu says:

    The silence is deafening.
There is no reason at all for anyone to molest an under aged child.
Justice should be harsh and swift. We claim to live by the Bible.
Take such an offender deep sea fishing and toss him/her overboard with an engine block attached to a chain around the neck.

  4. freddyg says:

BURN HIS HANDS ! HE WON’T TOUCH ANOTHER CHILD – SICKO !!!!

    • PEPPER says:

Does anyone rememer a case that Larry Scott respresented a few years ago a man that was having sex with a eleven year old child….and this fool said in court that the age of consent should be reduced to eleven or twelve years old !!!!!!!!! this man is a nut case…..but guess what he has a book out…and the likes of the current talk show hosts will promote his book…

    • PEPPER says:

freddya…I agree with you ” burn his hands off ” but I think we need to more drastic measures….cut his PEN!S off !!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. SML says:

In all honesty, i do not understand for the life of me why they cannot publish the perverts namefor so called legal reasons . The public needs to know who these sickos are so they can protect their children! They publish drug offenders name and have pictures! Why can’t the same be done to these sex offenders? I just don’t get it!

    • freddyg says:

Are offenders listed in BERMUDA, IN SOME DATA BASE ?

      • someone says:

They have a database but it is not made accessible to the public which defeats the whole purpose of ‘registered sex offenders’

        • Nothing But the Truth says:

          That is so backwards.

          True and recent story.

“A parent used to send her boyfriend (who was locked up in prison for child molestation) to pick up her children from school. Luckily we live on a small island and another parent recognized him and the PTA and School board notified him that he was not allowed on the premises.”

How sick is that. I know we are suppose to forgive and forget but come on someone needs to slap that woman.

          • SpaceCadet says:

Shouldn’t that be in his terms of release? Sex offenders are supposed to notify the police of their address for 10 years are they not instructed to stay away from children?

    • Aquarius says:

he has to be found guilty first before his name could be published. duh!

    • Onion says:

They don’t publish the offenders name because it might identify the victim, who should not have to be put into a spotlight.

  6. Terry says:

    How quick we judge.

Your Father, Uncle, Cousin, Nephew Son….doews this stuff.

    Prove me wrong.

    Peace.

    • SML says:

Terry, u sound like one sick puppy. Always have to the devils advocate.
      Maybe he’s you!!!

    • shakaZulu says:

If my own mother did this she deserves whatever she gets. BTW, who is judging? The law should be changed. Guilty until proven innocent. There should be ZERO tolerance for anyone who abuses the defencless.

    • Pastor Syl says:

Sadly, you are right. An unfortunately large proportion of Bermudian men appear to have little respect for women and even less for children of either sex.
I forgot to mention in my earlier post that humiliation of the victim also plays a large part in the attraction for this kind of crime.
I suspect that it is a kind of vicious cycle, as another finding indicated that most of the men incarcerated for sexual assault had themselves been sexually assaulted as children. Not sure if the perpetuation of the crime is a form of revenge or misplaced retaliation; if it is something along the lines of man-kicks-dog-who-then-bites-child; a reclaiming of power after having been helpless oneself; or a mind-set of I survived it, you will too. Or maybe it is a combination of all the above and/or something more.
In any case, since, as I have already said, such crimes are more about power, control and humiliation, removal of the offending appendage will not remove the mindset, and they will just re-offend using some other instrument.

    • SpaceCadet says:

If my father uncle cousin nephew son did this, name them and shame them. Wrong is wrong.

  7. jus sayin says:

his licks will be waitin for him up top…

    • Pastor Syl says:

Sadly, Bermuda appears to be the one place where child molesters have not been subject to violence from other prisoners. Probably because most of the other prisoners have also engaged in that behavior, just got caught for something else.

  8. Jus' Askin' says:

What would the right punishment be for him, if found guilty? I feel he needs to be deleted

  9. Research says:

modern psychology conceeds that there is no fix for an adult that exhibits this behavior. its saddening that many offenders were once child victims. the guy is so sick, he really doesn’t think he’s doing anything wrong until he is arrested and faced with jail time. whether he himself was abused or developed a preference for little boys during puberty the guy can’t change, because in his warped mind, his actions are normal. even if publically flogged at the flag pole on front street. the best we can do is to educate our children and pray they never meet this kind of monster. I pray that the boy will be given unlimited support throughout his adolescent years and hopefully the cycle doesn’t repeat itself.

  10. Bermudian says:

We NEED a database of all sexual offenders… I don’t understand why this is not a major issue… once we know who to be wary of our children can be a lot safer.

    • Pastor Syl says:

The database will only contain the names of those who have been caught. Terry was right in that this behaviour is rife on this island – your brother, father, son, uncle, cousin, boyfriend, best friend could be the one your child, male or female, needs to be wary of.
What really needs to happen is that we teach all children to recognize the difference between ‘bad’ touch and ‘good’ touch; to be wary of those who want to touch them in places covered by underwear; and to know that it is safe to talk to you, the adult, about anything that worries them, that you won’t be angry with them or blame them. Children often don’t report these kinds of crimes because they feel somehow responsible for what happened. Parents need to be clear that there is nothing a child could do that would make them responsible for sexual molestation. Children don’t “ask” for it, they don’t have that kind of knowledge unless someone has put it there. Be careful what children are allowed to watch. They are imitators.
In any case, it is ALWAYS the adults’ responsibility to protect children, even if they do appear to be inviting sexual attention. Such children need help, not more victimization.

      • Pastor Syl says:

Let me not leave out grandfathers, step-grandfathers, and step-fathers, and family friends in that list of those to be wary of.

        • 80s Sonesta Kid says:

sounds like extreme paranoia. I was working on a delivery truck and calling out the distance between the concrete pillars on either side of the driveway and the back of the truck to the driver. The daughter of the lady we were delivering to decided to stand next to the pillars. As I was intensely staring at the pillars, she decided to run and tell mommy that I was staring at her. Thank God mommy understood and explained to her daughter that I wasn’t looking at her daughter.

Do you see how things can get blown out of proportion!

          • Pastor Syl says:

@ Sonesta Kid: the difference between staring n touching (or more) someone is so vast, it feels like your comments are trivializing what I was trying to say.
Many children (and grownups too) are uncomfortable with being stared at. In fact, we teach (or used to teach) our children that staring is rude, so the little girl’s response makes sense to me.

  11. Don`t feel Sorry says:

He is a FREAK!!!!!!!!!!! Lock um all up for life n put all of their names in the paper Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!

  12. Real Talk says:

A trash truck driver slapping a girl gets hundreds of comments but no public outrage regarding the nameless, faceless child predators who walk among us…

    • Pastor Syl says:

@ Real Talk: Maybe this topic cuts too close to the bone. Too many of us are either perpetrators or victims. 20 years ago, this topic was absolutely taboo, just saying the word “rape” had people ducking their heads. So 23 comments is probably a pretty big step forward (although admittedly 4 of those 23 are my own)

    • Cassy says:

Its only 10:30. Take a break. By the end of the day there should be hundreds of comments on here. People are still trying to get to work because traffic was slowed up because of the landslide.

  13. boston baked bean says:

Where are the parents of this 9 year old boy? They should be putting up flyers on every telephone pole letting everyone know there is a child molester in their midst. This would never be tolerated anywhere — people have the right to protect their children and molesters should be identified. Why in the world isn’t there a sex offender register that’s for public viewing? Where is the government on this issue? It’s disgraceful!

  14. Cassy says:

This man is just sick. We need harsher punishments for things like this – castration for example. This poor little boy is going to be damaged for life from what this sick man did to him. I really hope there were no other victims of this man and he needs to spend the rest of his life in prison so bigger men can make him their little bi**h. But then again he might like that.

  15. White Christ says:

I do not condone taking the law into one’s own hands, but in some situations I wouldn’t condemn it either.

  16. Ambitious Girl says:

This is sickening. Absolutely sickening. I agree with publishing his name. I don’t care if he’s been convicted yet; finding all that garbage in his house is MORE than enough reason to publish his name for the public to see.

  17. Sheriff says:

    Hang him high !!

In my circle, we’d all happily go jail for our babies..Why are these “animals” even making it to court – ALIVE!! Where is the beat down, why hasn’t he been attacked… I could not sleep knowing I did nothing for my baby – someone would definitely pay !

Mercy! 9 … there is no justice if he’s still able to see the light of day!
