Minister Lunches With Tourism Ambassadors

Last Friday [Aug.12] Minister of Business Development Patrice Minors hosted a luncheon to thank the Bermuda Department of Tourism’s summer interns who participated in the BDOT Ambassador Programme. Now in its fourth year, the Tourism Ambassador Programme involved university students interested in the hospitality industry serving as tourist information liaisons to visitors for a ten-week period.

The programme, also included seniors taking on the role of tourism ambassadors. For ten weeks this summer younger and older generations worked side by side in high traffic areas in Dockyard, Hamilton and St. George’s to ensure that visitors to our Island have a unique and enjoyable experience.
