Two Promotions: Fairmont Systems Management

The Fairmont Southampton’s Regional Director of Human Resources, Ms. Nelda Simons today announced the promotion and appointment of two Bermudians within the Systems Management Department. Tony Steele has been promoted to the post of Area Systems Manager and Jonathan Stowe has been appointed to the post of Systems Manager.

Ms. Simons said, “I am pleased today to announce that the Fairmont Southampton has once again recognized the experience, skills and commitment of two outstanding Bermudians. Mr. Tony Steele has been with the company for six years and we congratulate him on displaying the leadership, knowledge and experience that will ensure that both hotels continue to operate at a high level of efficiency.”

Ms. Simons continued, “Mr. Jonathan Stowe is new to the Fairmont Southampton, yet he represents an outstanding talent that has recognized and taken advantage of the myriad and diverse opportunities available here at the hotel. We anticipate that working under Tony, Mr. Stowe will have ample opportunities to be encouraged, challenged and guided up the career path.”

Prior to working with Fairmont, Tony Steele served seventeen years as the Systems Manager at the Sonesta Beach Hotel. As Area Systems Manager, Mr. Steele will provide server infrastructure management, system backup and recovery procedures, regular backup and integrity checks, network infrastructure management, while also providing desk side support services.

Jonathan Stowe possesses almost a decades worth of experience as a Network Analyst and holds an Associates Degree in Network Engineering from Virginia College of Huntsville, Alabama. As Systems Manager, Mr. Stowe will report to the Area Systems Manager and will be responsible for providing support for the information technology systems for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Bermuda.
