Lightbourne Inducted Into Golden Key Society

Curlene Lightbourne, Senior Concierge Agent at the Fairmont Southampton is the resort’s latest member of the prestigious Les Clef d’Or [Society of the Golden Keys].

Founded in 1929, Membership to this exclusive society is limited to uniformed concierges serving in high caliber hotels with applicants having at least five years service as a Concierge.

Application to the Society requires the support of two current members and candidates are interviewed by to assess their competence and their suitability.

With representatives in 35 countries and boasting 5000 members, Les Clef d’Or aim is to help improve and maintain the quality of service provided by the Concierge staff in their hotels and to ensure that the profession is given the recognition it deserves.

Mrs. Lightbourne joined the Fairmont Southampton in 2006 after a five year career as a Concierge with the Elbow Beach Hotel. She is a 2005 nominee and 2004 recipient of the BELCO VIP Award for Best Concierge and was the Southampton 2007 Employee of the Year. She will be formerly inducted into the Society of the Golden Keys in a ceremony later this month in London.
