Endurance Appoints John L. O’Connor
Bermuda-based re/insurer Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. confirmed that John L. O’Connor will be appointed to the new role of Chief Administrative Officer.
Mr. O’Connor has more than twenty years experience in senior level consulting and insurance industry roles and has successfully designed, built and managed technology, financial and service operations throughout his career.
Mr. O’Connor joined Endurance as the leader of Endurance Services Limited in 2004 and will now be reporting to Bermudian David Cash, Chief Executive Officer of Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd.
Mr. Cash stated, “In his time with Endurance, John has consistently demonstrated his abilities as a leader of teams, a developer of talent and a builder of operations. He joined Endurance early in our onshore US expansion and knows the company, its businesses and staff from the ground up.”

Prior to joining Endurance, Mr. O’Connor was a Partner with Accenture consulting to the property and casualty and life insurance industries across a range of technology, financial and process engineering projects.
In addition to his client focused responsibilities with Accenture, Mr. O’Connor held leadership positions within the North American Property & Casualty Insurance and Finance & Performance Management practices.
Prior to joining Accenture Mr. O’Connor was a senior auditor with Arthur Andersen. Mr. O’Connor holds a Certified Public Accountant designation and a Fellow of the Life Management Institute designation. He graduated with a degree in Accounting from Fairfield University.
