Catlin Bermuda Donates To Chewstick
Catlin Bermuda has made a significant donation to The Chewstick Foundation to aid with operational expenses and to help the fledgling non-profit to continue making a positive impact in the community.
“These funds will be applied to supporting The Chewstick Foundation’s facility, staff, and programs and will go a long way towards assisting us in these tough economic times; we are truly grateful for the support from Catlin” states Gavin Djata Smith, Chewstick Foundation Founder/Executive Director.
Martha Dismont, Executive Director of Family Centre who is currently mentoring the organization at its Board level was very pleased to see this support and said that “This is a vital gesture by Catlin to acknowledge the importance of an investment in organizations like Chewstick, who sit in the heart of an environment that needs to feel the support of this community.”
According to Catlin Bermuda CEO, Graham Pewter, “Together with other members of our staff, I met with Gavin Smith and the Chewstick team several times, and was impressed by their passion and dedication. We feel that Chewstick plays a vital role in the community and Catlin is firmly committed to the charity, and to healing to ensure its success. It is our hope that the donation will go some way to help fund Chewstick’s general operating expenses so that they are able to continue to maintain and increase their positive outreach in the community”.
