Guyana Match: Crockwell To Replace Bell

The Bermuda Football Association [BFA] has confirmed that Mikkail Crockwell will replace goalkeeper Tahj Bell for tomorrow’s [Ocy.11] Bermuda vs Guyana match.

Bell – who was not playing – was given a red card in the 36th minute of the Trinidad vs Bermuda match on Friday [Oct.7] and is serving a one game suspension.

Mikkail Crockwell is the starting goal keeper for Thomas College in Maine where he is a senior. Presently overseas, will meet up with his Bermuda team mates this evening.

Although not specifically stated by the BFA, it is assumed that Freddy Hall will be the starting goalkeeper for tomorrow’s game.

    What offence did he commit? After all he didn’t even play!

      He was sent off for peeing in the corner. The changing room is usually locked after the players come out. If you need to relieve yourself after that you’ll have to find the person with the key.

      I can assure you that he is not the 1st person to pee in that corner. Players have been doing it for years. Its like a right of passage!

      I can only surmise that this is an infringement on FIFA rules. Otherwise, its just hating…

    Just wondering the logic of bringing back a reserve goalkeeper from abroad over using someone local. We have several keepers on island who are more the capable to do the job. He will have minimal chance of seeing the field.Is that money well spent?
